If you have an aftermarket audio system and installed it yourself you will know what to do, and follow the same procedure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your audio system is compatible with AppRadio 2 and has an HDMI port then simply connect the Chromecast to the HDMI port. Connect the power via a USB port which should be available in the front of your car or use the USB Cigarette Lighter Adaptor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your audio system is not compatible with AppRadio 2 then use the HDMI to RCA Converter. Connect the Chromecast to the HDMI input and RCA cable (RCA is color-coded so make sure to match the colors) to the back of your audio system. Don&#8217;t forget to power both the Chromecast and the HDMI to RCA Converter. This is why you will need two USB ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Place the wires and the box somewhere safe such as the glovebox or tuck it behind the audio system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Switch the audio system to video input and your Chromecast should be ready to set up with the screen showing the standard Chromecast message &#8220;Set Me Up&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need two phones to set up as the Chromecast has to be on Wifi (same network). Set one of the phones to act as a hotspot and grab another temporary phone and connect it to the hotspot and proceed with the regular Chromecast setup on your audio system.
