If you are going to buy or drive a vehicle, you should know as much about it as possible.

Understanding the interior of your car will help you get the maximum comfort from your car, determine when you need to have it repaired, and maybe even make it possible for you to make some small repairs and improvements yourself.

    Trim, Seats, Headrests & Armrests

Car seats and armrests aren’t usually noticed by most people, despite being areas they come into contact with most frequently.

For all-day driving or long rides, your seat should be comfortable.

Cotton or leather seats are available in a variety of colors and materials.

Depending on your needs, you can adjust seats, headrests, and armrests as you wish.

HVAC System & Climate Control System

An HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) System & Climate Control System is responsible to regulate the temperature inside a car cabin.

If the air conditioning is “ON” in a car, it helps maintain the proper temperature based on the setting.

Driving in the winter is most comfortable and safe when there is a comfortable level of interior heat.

Air needs to be heated and routed to a car’s cabin interior in order to blow hot air at passengers.

Heating brings air into the interior in the same manner as air conditioning does when your car blows cold air: a duct is placed in a high-pressure area, typically near the front, where air can flow freely.

To reach your car’s various vents, the airflow in your vehicle is rerouted to an area where it can be heated.

A heater core is able to provide heat to the air brought into the engine through the duct.

Internal combustion engines don’t lack heat, so the air flowing through the duct can pass through one.

Coolant from the engine cooling system is pumped into the heater core, which functions as a small radiator.

This heater core allows for heat exchange, which cools the core while heating the cabin’s interior air before it reaches the passenger compartment.
